Shri RamCollege of Commerce, more famously referred to as SRCC is one of the oldest andmost prestigious institute of higher learning in commerce and economics inIndia. Well, most of the people are often unaware of the fact that SRCC offersvarious courses in two fields only, i.e. Economics and Commerce.


SRCC was established by educationist and industrialist, late Lala Shri Ram. The institute which was first established in Daryaganj shifted to its present location in the North Campus, Delhi University in 1957.


The undergraduate and post graduate courses offered by the college are

1)     Bachelor of Commerce (Honours)

2)     Bachelor of Arts-Economics (Honours)

3)     Master of Commerce

4)     Master of Arts- Economics


SRCC matches international standards in terms of the infrastructure. The college is centrally air conditioned with Wi- Fi enabled LCD projectors, tutorial rooms, library, seminar room and a fully equipped auditorium with a seating capacity for around 750 persons.

For the differently abled students the campus has ramps, lifts and special washrooms that have been added to the building. The SRCC library is an empowering unit with a Resource Centre for Visually Challenged having an array of audio-visual aids.

The College has renovated hostels,medical support systems, modern gymnasium, and swimming pool.


The college has three state of the art Computer Centers. All the computers in the centers are provided with the latest updated software and hardware. Internet, printing and scanning facilities are also available through network. Each center is equipped with uninterrupted power backup.


Fully air conditioned, having elegant tables and cozy chairs with some amazingly delicious food that is what makes SRCC canteen stand apart from all the other canteens in the University Campus.It’s a special meeting point for the students after lectures. There is the samosa, chole bhature, maggi, hot parathas, South Indian food - the dosa and idli, Chinese cuisine- chowmein and fried rice and yes, gulab jamun for desert.

New items get added every semester in the menu of this wonderful place.


The College has a well- stocked library with over seventy thousand books and regular subscription eighty international and national journals, magazines and daily newspapers. It caters to the needs of 2800 students at the undergraduate and graduate level. The library services are fully automated. The library has reading halls at the ground floor and on the first floor accommodating around 300 students.


This is the ultimate fest of Delhi University. Crossroads is the coolest fest of the Campus. With numerous cultural performances, competitions and yes, the star nights Crossroads rules over the hearts of the Delhi University students and they flock to it in huge numbers. Well, Shaan, Mohit Chauhan and Farhan Akhtar are just a few of the people who have performed at the SRCC annual fest in the past.
